Cheers to a Wedding

This past weekend, my cousin got married! Since I go to school up here in Washington, I flew down to San Diego and met up with my family. The wedding was on Friday, April 14. I flew in on Thursday and my family and I drove down to the hotel which it was at and there was a cocktail party for those who were at the hotel. I was able to catch up with all my cousins that I have not seen for way too long. I think the last time my whole family was together was in 2019 for my other cousin’s wedding. The night ended pretty early so my family and I went out to dinner to end the night. The next morning, my sisters and I worked out and then we all went to breakfast. After fueling up, we went on a walk along the bay. By that time, it was about time to get ready for the wedding. I love to get ready! I love doing my makeup and getting all dolled up. We then headed to the church. It ended up not being a full mass which made it go by way quicker. I think by the minute the bride, my cousin, walked down the aisle to the end of the ceremony, it was about 35 minutes. I liked their efficiency. My grandma was even able to come! I thought that was really special because she was not able to go to the other cousins’ weddings and she is also 94 years old. After the wedding, it was time for the reception. This consisted of two parts, the cocktail party and the dinner/reception. We went back to the hotel and their was the cocktail party. My sisters and I utilized our time and took a bunch of pictures! We were able to talk to a few people and hang out with our cousins. It was then time for the reception and dinner. We went inside and found our seats. The tables were done very nicely and we sat at the cousin’s table. Dinner was delicious and a necessary fuel up for the open bar. An open bar is very dangerous. I can confirm that we all took advantage of that. Then it was time to dance! I love to dance so I was looking forward to this. My whole family loves music and the live band did a fantastic job! Our family song is Shout, Pts. 1 & 2 by the Isley Brothers. We got the best video of that song and of all of us dancing! I had such a good time this past weekend! I loved seeing everyone, especially the newly wedded!

Weddings are so fun because it is one time that guarantees family will be together. Now that we are all older, we do not get to see our cousins that often since we all live in different places. A wedding is a reason for all of us to come together. I love that about weddings!
