Last two weeks of college

It is crazy to think that these are the last two weeks of my senior year of college. After 16 years of school, I will be completely done for good. I don’t think my mind has wrapped around that idea yet. This year has been a lot of fun. First semester was my last soccer season and this second semester has been fun getting to meet a lot of new people and enjoy a normal college experience without soccer. It has been so great meeting new people and bonding with the senior class. I am kicking myself for not branching out earlier. I wish I met these people earlier in my college career because they are awesome! As senior year is wrapping up, this week is “Senior Week”. That consists of daily events that only seniors are invited to. Monday is last meal in Cog. The Cog is our school’s cafeteria and as juniors and seniors, you live off campus and don’t have a meal plan. Therefore, the last meal in cog brings the seniors back to freshman year. Tuesday is bowling. Wednesday is a winery. We are going to Anchor Crest winery. I am really excited for this event because I just recently went to Walla Walla, Washington. Thursday is Jack and Dans. This is our local bar where we spend most of our weekends at. This Thursday, it will be filled with seniors. Friday is a senior fest with live music and games. This will be a lot of fun because the weather is looking good and it will be the start to our last weekend as college students.

This past weekend was another fun senior weekend. On Sunday, there was a block party. The weather was fantastic, high 70s, low 80s. We finally were able to get some sun. We also had a water balloon fight. We bought water balloons, separated into teams, and then played it like a dodgeball game. We also did a balloon toss. It was such a pure afternoon. This weekend we also played a lot of pickleball. I just played for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was pretty easy to pick up which was nice, but probably was because I know how to play tennis. We have a pretty big group that will go out to the courts often. That has been super fun and has been another fun way to meet more people.

Today, Monday May 1, we had another sunny day. I played some soccer. We played mini games of 2v2. Then, there was a lightning storm. This was so cool. It was dry storm. How cool is that! We laid down on the gross on our front lawn and just watched the sky light up. It was one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. Everyone around the neighborhood was outside and you can hear everyone gasp each time the lightning struck.

I am excited for these last two weeks! I want to spend all my time surrounding myself with my friends!
