Regrouping after a Weekend

Regrouping after a weekend can be challenging, especially if you had a lot going on or if you feel like you didn’t get the rest you needed. As enjoyable as weekends can be, they can also leave us feeling unprepared for the week ahead. This is where regrouping comes in. One of the best ways to regroup after the weekend is to take some time on Sunday evening to plan for the week ahead. This might include making a to-do list, organizing your workspace, or preparing your meals for the week. By taking care of these tasks in advance, you can start the week feeling more organized and in control. Unfortunately for me, Sundays are not usually my days to regroup. Being a college student, weekends tend to be busy going out and enjoying the college experience. Therefore, my Mondays tend to be the day I get my life back on track for the week. Mondays are typically my grocery shopping day. I will create a list of what I need and go to Trader Joe’s. Lately, it has been difficult to find new food options. I feel stuck in a constant routine, eating the same meal every day. I used to think of grocery shopping as something I like and look forward to but lately it has not been. I often times dread going and try to buy the bare minimum. Therefore, I have started to buy myself a treat every time, whether its chocolate or flowers. In addition, I also try and get back on track with my workout routine. The weekends are often hard to get a workout in so I make sure to work out on Monday. This starts my week off right. I have a workout plan that I try to follow throughout the week. On Mondays, I usually workout my legs, Tuesday would be arms, and then it would alternate every other day. Physical activity can help boost your mood and energy levels, which can be especially helpful if you are feeling sluggish or unmotivated. Even a short walk or gentle stretching can make a difference. In addition to exercise, I get back on track with self-care. I get make sure to go to bed early on Sunday night and usually fake tan that night. In the winter, one way to make me feel better about myself is to stay tan. Therefore, self-tanning is an important part of my week. I make sure to also check my emails and catch up on any homework I need to finish before the week starts. My housemates and I also have gotten into board games recently. Sundays are often the night we play. This has been super fun and a great way to end the week and start the new week.

In conclusion, regrouping after the weekend is an important step towards being productive and efficient in the coming week. By taking the time to get back on track, you can start the week feeling more prepared and in control.
